Your garden design starts with you - I'll meet with you to understand what you
want from your garden, and offer ideas about how the design elements could achieve your objectives. Then I'll survey the site, taking detailed measurements including levels, and establishing the factors which influence plant choice such as site aspect, drainage and soils analysis. Your site survey will then be drawn up on Autocad. A design 'Mood Board' is then produced, showing you elements of the garden I'll incorporate in the design. It's vital to understand how the levels of your plot influence the design, or inform the ground preparation. I use professional surveying equipment to ensure we get the details right. The levels analysis is carried out as part of your site survey.
Dear Neil.
I just wanted to say how happy I am with the wonderful garden.
You did work so hard and professionally to have give me something to enjoy for many years to come.
Thanks again.
Kind regards
Dr. S.W, Whitstable
No-one likes big up-front costs and I've recognised that in my pricing structure. Most designers charge a percentage of the final build cost (typically 20% for gardens up to £20,000).
I do things differently. With Chaucer, you pay a nominal charge for the survey and Mood Board, and a further small fixed fee for the design. All I ask is that I source the plants and materials for you. I guarantee you won't pay more than the retail price offered by my wholesalers and you'll receive certified nursery stock. I warrant that all planting will reflect best industry practice and will pass on any nursery warranty provided at the point of sale.
